I am appalled by the violence in Charlottesville, VA. I wholly condemn all the violent actions by the White supremacists/nationalists in the city. Our communities are composed of people that look, speak, and act differently than each other, and that is a trait of a healthy society. Bigotry and hatred have no place in our nation. We cannot be tolerant of this behavior, and it is our duty to speak up against these ideologies. This is no time to be passive as the racism and evil we witnessed will not "fade away" unless there is specific and intentional action taken. To the families and loved ones of those killed and injured, I give my deepest condolences. Please, don't be a bystander. Your country begs of you.
